I spend some time each week giving service to the activities of the Church of Scientology.

The Way to Happiness is the first moral code based wholly on common sense. First published in 1981, its purpose is to arrest the current moral decline in society and restore integrity and trust to Man.
The materials of Dianetics and Scientology comprise the largest body of information ever assembled on the mind, spirit and life, rigorously refined and codified by L. Ron Hubbard through five decades of research, investigation and development. The results of that work are contained in hundreds of books and more than 3,000 recorded lectures.
The victims of the earthquake in Java needed help and Scientology Volunteer Ministers were there helping them recover from their traumatic experience. They use Scientology Assist technology which helps relieve the spiritual and mental effects caused by traumatic situations. This helps them get on with their lives and return to being productive members of their society again.

Volunteer Ministers saved lives and helped hundreds of people in Indonesia's earthquake struck zone!
VMs arrived on-site in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, following the 6.3 magnitude quake and started delivering assists to victims in hospitals. The VMs did hundreds of assists, and in the process trained family members to continue those assists. In two hospital wards, where the VMs were helping people, the hospitals ended up releasing the patients as their conditions had improved. In other areas, the work goes on.
The stories are incredible. A woman screaming in pain from a fractured leg, given an assist with nurses and doctors watching on, handled with one Assist.
Fractured and broken bones, with people in pain, handled by VMs one after another. Working with local medical personnel, VMs have assisted in the recovery efforts for 100s of people.
There are 1000s more in similar condition.
