I am currently working on several writing
projects. One is a story based on the play, 'Othello', written by
William Shakespeare. The shortest synopsis of the story is written
below and a copy of it is in the hands of a producer from Toei, the
movie production company.
I also told her about the Japanese translation of it, which is on
the Japanese side of this website. As well, I informed the president
of the Stage & Arts Brains Company, a new sub-company of the Yoshimoto
corporation, that is going to produce movies, about it.
Hopefully, one of them will produce it.

based on the play, Othello, by William Shakespeare
The first foreigner to join the Osaka
police force is psychologically manipulated into killing his wife
and then himself by a Japanese police officer, jealous of the rapid
rise in status within the ranks of the police force by the foreigner.
It is afternoon on a side street in downtown Osaka. At the front door
of a small chapel, Yago stands guard.
A car pulls up and Kato steps out. He opens
the rear door for Monami, in a wedding dress, and Emi. They run inside
giggling like two school girls. Nick arrives, dressed in a tuxedo.
Inside, the pastor closes his Bible. "You
may now kiss the bride." They kiss long and tenderly. Kato tells
the pastor, "Thanks for keeping this a secret." and reminds
Nick, " You only have three hours before you have to be at the
dojo."
Outside, the newlyweds run down the steps.
Unseen, Rokubuichi takes a photo. The cars take off.
Rokubuichi walks up to Yago. "Now
that she is married it is over," he laments. "Don't be so
pessimistic," Yago scolds. "You know what to do with that
photo."
At the police dojo, the cadets walk out
leaving Kato and Nick. Yago walks in and informs Nick, "The commissioner
wants to see you sir."
The police commissioner orders Nick to
quell the gaijin gang violence. "You're a gaijin. You should
be able to talk with these gangs," the commissioner tells him,
ignoring his protests that he is white gaijin.
In a back alley at night, Nick asks the
Brazilian and the Chinese gangs to disperse. A fight starts with the
gangs and the police. Several of the gangs' members escape.
The next morning Monmami looks horrified
at a newspaper with Rokubuichi's photo and the headline "Action
Movie Star Secretly Wed". "Kato, you're in charge of guarding
Monami from now on, "Nick insists on the phone.
At the wrap party on the film set, Emi
tries to get Kato to have a drink. Yago shrugs,
"One drink. What can it hurt?"
One drink leads to many.
Yago coaches Rokubuichi to start a fight
with Kato. Just as Kato hits Rokubuichi, Nick walks in.
"There is no way I'm going to have
a drunken brawler in charge of watching Monami!" he scolds.
Kato is consoled by Emi and she unashamedly
shows how infatuated she is with Kato,
"How about you stay at my place tonight?"
she askes. Yago overhears, and when she goes to get a drink, he questions
Kato about her.
"She likes me. And she's really lively
in bed," Kato confesses. She returns, so Kato changes the subject and
consults Yago about Nick. "How about talking with Monami?"
he recommends.
At Nick's apartment, Yago lets Kato in
to see Monami. Nick arrives as Kato is leaving.
Kato sees Nick and hurries off ashamed.
"What?" queries Nick, antagonistically. Yago covertly plants
the idea that Kato is having an affair with her. "If they were,
I'd kill them both!" Nick announces angrily.
Monami asks Nick to put Kato back on her
guard, fuelling his suspicions. They fight.
The next night Yago gets Nick to overhear
Kato after consulting with Monami. "So you had a good time with
your girlfriend?" Yago conspiratorially enquires. Kato gives
away bedroom secrets of his evening spent with Emi.
Nick gets delusional. He mentally creates
scenes with Kato and Monami having s ex.
He confesses a wish to murder them to Yago.
Yago gives him some pills, "The police psychiatrist would put
you on these drugs anyway."
"But he'd also take me off duty. And
I need to finish this gaijin gang business. But I'm a white gaijin,"
he complains as he pops the pills.
He takes more drugs and gets into more
arguments with Monami. She confides in Emi.
Her mobile rings. "Yago never gave
me any jewellery from you," she tells Rokubuichi.
Later Emi tells Kato about what she overheard
in that phone call. "I'd better go see Yago about this,"
he says. She insists on coming along. "OK, but you stay in the
car," he warns.
Outside Nick's apartment, Kato tells Yago
what has been said. Rokuibuchi walks up, accusing Yago of theft.
He starts swinging and Kato tries to stop
him. Rokubuichi pulls out a knife and slashes at Kato. "You stay
out of this. It's got nothing to do with you," he pleads.
Yago takes the opportunity to grab the
knife. He thrusts it deep into Rokubuichi's neck and cuts cleanly
across with it. "You saw him, he tried to kill me. It was self-defense
," he insists.
Kato looks at Yago fearfully. "You
can't get away with this," warns Kato. Yago lunges with the knife.
They struggle and fall.
Yago gets up and turns Kato's still body
over. The knife is embedded in Kato's chest. Nick walks up with glazed
eyes. "You won’t believe this!" Yago insists. "They
were both having an affair with her!"
Nick walks inside, closes the door and
deadlocks it. A tear forms on his cheek
.
Monami is asleep in bed. He takes a pillow, straddles her and covers
her face. She struggles and fights, but Nick is too strong and no
longer sane.
She succumbs and her body becomes motionless.
He puts his gun into his own mouth.
Outside Yago calls for an ambulance. The
gun goes off inside the apartment.
A scream rings out. Yago sees Emi. She
runs but he catches her easily.
At a kiosk in a train station, Yago picks
up a newspaper. He reads aloud, "Action Star's Assistant
Found Dead In Her Apartment. Suspected Overdose."
The vendor replies, "Just yesterday
that same movie star was killed by her gaijin husband. And he was
a cop! No wonder they can't control the gaijin gangs. Crazy!"
