What is Imprology?
Imprology is the name of the type of theatre improvisation I teach.
It means the study of theatre improvisation.
It is a system of theatre games and procedures
that I am putting together from what I learned in Australia, America,
Canada and Japan. Most of what I teach has developed from Keith
Johnstone's work.
Keith Johnstone is one of the highest ranked
theatre improvisation teachers in the world. He is also the author
of several books about it.
His theories and principles are used in theatre
companies in most English speaking countries and in several European
countries as well. And he was the founding artistic director of
The Loose Moose Theatre Company in Calgary.
Of all the improvisation teachers I have
had, Keith is, by far, the one that has given me the greatest
insights into improvised theatre work.
Anyone can play in the workshops. The games
are a lot of fun and the players are all very friendly.
We are always looking for new players. And,
at the moment, we are also looking for a venue in which to practise.

With Keith At the Moose
At the beginning of August 2006, I started
working teaching improvisation skills to students at New Star
Creation (NSC), the school operated by the Yoshimoto Corporation.
I am the first foreigner to do that.
The Yoshimoto is the biggest entertainment
agency in the country and NSC has been operating for nearly thirty
years. Graduates of NSC can be seen and heard on the media every
day. Some of them have become famous all over the country.
